The brand’s roots trace back to 1838, when visionary Carl Heinrich Knorr opened the first Knorr kitchen in Heilbronn, Germany. Driven by an inventive spirit, Carl began experimenting with ways to dry vegetables and herbs, preserving both their goodness and taste. His innovation sparked the launch of Knorr’s first dried soups, which began delighting European homes in the 1870s.
